If I go to the ER what can they even do for me other then say I'm not in labor and go home?

I've been having contractions for the last week pretty strong threw out the day, this is my second child so I can tell I'm not in labor but I'm not sure what's going on or what I should do.

I've been trying to get a dr but I don't have health insurance so no one would see me and I didn't want to go into the ER because that's for people who need care right now, like a broken leg or there're dying.

I went to a pregnancy clinic and was told I'm 8 months along and due at the beginning of Aug.

I found out two months ago I'm eight months pregnant, I had no idea I was having a baby until over a weeks time my belly started to grow all of a sudden.
