my last post

Maybe for awhile. I am gathering up all the wood I have here to start on my Ark. Well more like a row boat with a top. This rain just keeps going. Since it will just be my dog and me, anyone else need

Then I had to go to the emergency room, when updating my next of kin information the nurse reacted very poorly when I gave my husbands name and it was different from mine.

The other day I had shown my parents my business cards and they got very offended when they seen my maiden name, they said I should've had it changed and it looks bad on me.

I've been married for almost 2 years and this just started becoming an issue.

Professionally I want to keep my maiden name as I come from a small enough town and a google search actually shows a lot of my past accomplishments.

I like my maiden name and it seems a hassle to change it as first I need to do my IDs, then the bank, my credit cards, my various registrations, and then my school I go to.

I am in no rush to take my husband's name, I would only do it after we have kids to have a family with a unified name (I hate hyphenated family names) - but that is still a long time off.

I know that picking your surname after marriage is a very personal decision and there is nothing wrong with keeping your maiden name of hyphenating.
