I know kids adopted at an older age have trauma but I am wondering when they are adopted as babies.

I know this could be unrelated to adoption but due the majority of kids adopted as babies have issues as teens or if adopted as a baby are the kids fine with it?

My mother makes a big fuss every year that no one is doing enough for her birthday. What makes an adult this self consumed?

Plus she is upset I have to be somewhere else for 2 hours in the afternoon and will be with her in the evening (not all 24 hours).

My GF always complains about the places I take her to, and the amount I spend. She threatens to break up over it. Is this fair?

She says she is used to old fashioned guys and had expectations.

I also give her rides to and from her place or uber her and take her places because she doesn t want to put wear and tear on her car.
