The Elusive Promise of Her Kiss

[image1]There are magical moments in life, critical junctures you might call them. A point in time so profound and defining that your mind pauses for a moment and asks, like that Talking Heads song:
_

Carolann:
I'm kind of regretting staying friends with him because it's tearing me apart.
(25 August 2016)

Carolann:
Of course I said yes to being friends, mostly bc because I have hope for a future relationship... A month later I still love him and not talking to him is killing me.
(25 August 2016)

Carolann:
He wanted to be friends and he repeatedly said that maybe something could happen when I go to that college.
(25 August 2016)

Carolann:
When he broke up with me he told me that he thinks that our relationship 'lost it'. The day after he broke up with me, he texts me saying that none of it was my fault, it was just a 'mindset' thing.
(25 August 2016)

Carolann:
I'm still not really sure why it ended.
(25 August 2016)

Carolann:
As it got closer, he had voiced some concerns about worrying that it was going to take a toll on our relationship.
(25 August 2016)

Carolann:
We were planning on dating through college (I'm going to the same college as he'll be at next year). At first he was super excited to make our relationship work through college, and I was a little skeptical.
(25 August 2016)

Carolann:
We planned a lot of future things together, but he's going to college this month and I'm still a senior.
(25 August 2016)

Carolann:
We were together for 4 months and 'talked' for 6 before that.
(25 August 2016)

Jen:
But I don t know if this friendship is toxic or not...
