I feel like I'm being paranoid but should I drop him all together?

He was amazing in the summer and we had a great thing going, even when he visited you could tell he really cared for me... but now he isn't all there.

I just kind of feel like he is using me... like he went from texting me constantly to after he visited me, barely.

On the phone today I asked why he never texts me anymore, he said it's cause he doesn't like texting and would rather call, I agreed with him on that, but said I don't mind him checking in on me every once in awhile.

And he will call me every few weeks but it's not much.

Well now it's been a few months and we rarely text ever.

He promised we would still talk like how we would though.

The phone calls started from ranging from about an hour long to slowly going to about 15-20ish minutes.

So I was dating this guy throughout the summer, and he would text me everyday when he wasn't out working (long distance relationship). After a few months that got less and less, but he would always remember to at least call once a week to see how I was.
