My mother has had a field day of telling any and everyone who will listen that I am a drug addict but conveniently leaves out the fact that she's one too.

My mother took me in and I have slowly but surely been getting clean.

I succumbed to drug use myself about a year ago at 30 yrs old.

She is still on drugs till this very day but she is functioning mainly due to support from her husband who is also a drug addict.

I suffered through years of hating her but decided to put my differences aside as I got older and rekindled a relationship with her.

By vage 13 I decided I did not want to live with my mother anymore and checked myself into a runaway shelter and never went back to her.
