Male coworker of mine said I was rare cause I don't put out easy. Is this a compliment or insult?

The guy who said I was rare is a big time player and have slept with hundred of women, some he paid for sex.

So with all this being said was my coworker insulting me by trying to make me feel weird or do you figure he was complimenting me.

Men would rather run to the sluts who give their body away so easily rather than see me for my value and try to make something real with me.

Why is it that when guys show interest in me and I tell them how I feel about sex they look at me as though I am crazy cause I want a man to be in love with me before I offer him my body?
