I had expected they probably find me awkward, but I have struggled my whole life dealing with people and it's hugely magnified when they're all speaking a different language (that really, I should be better at than I am). What do you think?

There is one girl I speak English to, (who isn't French either but she speaks it better than I do) so I feel I can open up a bit more to her and conversation can flow more freely.
