The rest of my family is religious so they would all be disappointed too (grandma, grandpa, aunt and uncle). I hate disappointing people but it is my life.

I'm okay with that though because he's emotionally abused me my whole life and any kind of break from him would be awesome.

I haven't told my dad yet because I know when I do he will be very very angry and probably shun me.

But on the other hand she understands that I am an adult and I can make my own decisions about my life.

My mom and I are close and I hate to disappoint her.

I've only told my mom so far what i've decided and she was very disappointed and it broke my heart.

They are religious and believe that living with someone before you're married is a sin.

However, my parents are not supportive of it.

His parents are supportive about it and are willing to help out and are excited for us to be taking this big step together.
