Because of this, she'll randomly shut down in restaurants and get really quiet and sad, forcing everyone to go home because no one wants to drag her around the city as she mopes.

It's only me against my whole dysfunctional family trying to get my mother some help for her alcoholism?

If I do this, it could sever the relationship I have with mother and also with my family (they will take her side and say that I am over-exaggerating because they are all alcoholics as well and stick together like glue).

My mother takes care of sick elderly patients in hospice.

If you are not aware a nurse practitioner is similar to a doctor in that they have a higher degree than a nurse and have the ability to see patients individually and treat them with medications.

I believe she fell from her drinking.

My moms husband also turns a blind eye to my mothers drinking and does not want to discuss it either (he will literally walk out of the room if you start talking with him about it). So, just a couple days ago, my mother broke her leg.
