He's been making preparations to move to Denver, Colorado for the past couple of months, since the particular profession he has offers significantly better pay and better working conditions up there.

He's been renting a room at a house in a town about 20 minutes away, and I've ben seeing him for a couple of hours about once a week (usually we go to dinner or something) for about 16 months ever since then.

He got really upset (basically cussed me out) that I didn't tell him about it sooner, and he was saying that the guy's a predator and whatnot, and he called up one of his friends to come and pick me up, so I can spend the night at their house.
