Comitting to silly ideas?

Late last year a colleague at work suggested doing the 3 peaks tour next summer for charity. For those that do not know that is walking up the 3 highest peaks in England, Scotland & Wales in a 24 hour

However, my lifestyle was reckless and parents were divorcing (I thought). Then they get back together and our both alcoholics by now.

Left college and have a 10 year old son now who I am SO THANKFUL for so nothing I would take back.

That was a huge trauma for me, I was 14. Then when I was in college I thought they were done for and I coped with alcohol and by getting pregnant.

Third time I came home from school and Mom told he she was kicking our father out when he gets back with his family from a wedding he was at for a cousin.

Second time i don't know what happened but my Mom made my uncle, her brother, go spy on my Dad thinking he was cheating.

First time I was little and Dad had broken things in the house in a fight.

Parents are separated for the 5th time.

I am 27 and my parents have fought constantly for years.
