New surroundings

I just accepted a new job with a company that involves me spending 6 months to a year in a new city. I am excited on one hand for the new challenges but not sure I am ready to drop everything and jump

I'm now an adult with psychological issues where I would go tell lies about myself being a convicted paedophile, which has only gotten police to investigate me and subsequently blacklist me from becoming a police officer.

He would also scold me if I were to do something like ask one of my siblings what time he got up, when this was something my dad would ask me whenever I slept in.

My dad would always treat me like this but never to my siblings.

I was the only child in my family who was blamed, scolded and bossed around for everything around the home by my father while my other siblings had it easy.

Should I pull away to get him to take us more seriously?

Do you think if I were to be a little distant that he'd step it up and possibly prioritize his schedule to fit in more time for us?

But I'd like him to make me more of a priority..maybe instead of helping 'Bob' build something, we could make plans.
